The US Open Pool Championship a nine-ball pool tournament that is open to professional men every year. It started in 1976 and is regarded as one the most important nine-ball titles worldwide. It is the most prestigious tournament in pool. The winner gets $200,000 plus the title.

Max Lechner defeated Chinese Taipei's Ko Ping Chung 6-9

Max Lechner defeated Ko Poing Chung (Chinese Taipei) 6-9 in Saturday's US Open Pool Semi-final. Lechner, making his first semi-final appearance in the US open pool, jumped onto the first rack and swooped into, but Ko was able a two ball in the pocket to win.

Lechner's victory opened the way to Lechner's run at the US Open Pool Championship's finals. He'll be playing Francisco Sanchez Ruiz. Ruiz is a former World No. Lechner lost 13-10 to Ruiz to claim the $50,000 prize. This is the first time a Spaniard has won this event.

Ben Crawley defeats Max Lechner in the semi-final

Max Lechner has made a good start to his US Open Pool Championship campaign, beating Ben Crawley 13-10 in the semi-final. The rising star is a German player with an excellent offensive game. He was also among the world's top 4, and at just twenty-one was the youngest Mosconicup winner. His win earned him the number one spot in the world, the highest in this sport.


Max Lechner wins 2022 US Open Pool Championship

Max Lechner, a 21-year-old German, is the winner of the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. After a thrilling final frame, Lechner won by four point. Sanchez Ruiz (playing for Colombia) committed a critical foul on Lechner’s final shot. Ko was now out of time. Lechner, however, managed to rebound and win the game in a seemingly endless battle.

Las Vegas will host the tournament. The $300,000.00 prize will be awarded to the US Open winner. The event features a large Filipino contingent. Both Dennis Orcollo (finalist) and Carlo Biado (quarterfinalist) advanced to the next round. They will face Francisco Sanchez Ruiz (and Ko Ping Chung) in the semifinals.
