A bumper pool is an exciting game of billiards in which players have to put five balls into the pockets of their opponents. While this game is similar to other billiards games in many ways, its rules are much more simple. You don't have to use a cueball. Instead, the cue is used to strike object balls. Also, you don't necessarily need to have a lot of room for the table. Bumper pools tables are small and can be stored in your garage, or even in your living area. A bumper pool table takes up about one-third as much space as a standard pool table.

The first step in playing bumper pool is to select the right color balls. After choosing their ball color, they need to match the bumpers. The red bumpers will have the red balls placed to the sides. They will be smaller than American-style 2 1/4" pool balls.

A rule to remember is that bumper pool does not allow for break shots. However, if you want to make a good shot, you can bank it into the hole or into the bole. However, it is important to keep track of all your balls.
