Rotation Pool is a billiards game which uses a standardized pool table and a cue ball. In that each player can pick the lowest-numbered ball on the table, Rotation Pool is very similar to ten-ball or nine-ball. It has its own rules that are in addition to the General Rules of Pocket Billiards.
Rotation pool rules are based upon the point system. This means that the player with the most points wins. Point schedules determine the numerical values for pool balls. They can range from one to fifteen. Other handicapping systems are also available. So, for example, players who are able to pocket a lower quality ball can also pocket a more valuable ball on the exact same shot. This allows different players to have different point totals.
Rotation Pool takes place on a billiards rack which is a triangular shape. The lower valued balls are typically pocketed first. While the higher value balls are then pocketed at the same time, The balls are then randomly placed on a rack. The upper two-thirds are known as "money balls," and they are assigned dollar amounts.
The game known as rotation pool is primarily used for gambling. Points are awarded to the player who pockets the most balls in varying degrees. According to the rules, the highest score may earn you a share of the game cat, which is usually at risk. There are many tournaments, leagues and competitions to play in the rotation pool. Tournaments are usually held in multiple rounds. Only the top finishers advance into the next round. Or, you can play in a single elimination round.
There are many different types of rotation pools, but the most well-known is a tenball pool. In this game, each player must keep the eight ball legaly in his/her pocket. The player who fails to take the eight ball is removed. However, the player who takes the eighth ball is considered to have made it. The player who has the eighth ball is awarded a ball that can be used to play the next shot.
Unlike most games of pool, rotation pool requires a player to hit the lowest numbered ball on the table first. All other balls are still out of play, and the player who pockets the last ball must make the shot. Additionally, fouls must also be called before the next shot. Faults can include removing an object ball from the table, failing legally to pocket it, and failing to contact a number with the cueball. Fouls can also be classified by how many times they are committed. Three fouls in succession will result in the player being removed from the frame.
Rotation Pool may be played up to 4 people. The game is most commonly played in a league where players form teams. League organizers may pay a franchise fee to help organize and promote the sport.
