The win paved the way for Lechner's run to the finals of the US Open Pool Championship, where he'll face Francisco Sanchez Ruiz. Ruiz is a former World No. 1 in Live Nineball, beat Lechner 13-10 to claim the $50,000 first prize. This is the first time a Spaniard has won this event.
