The Billiard Congress of America(BCA) is a leading organization which promotes billiards across the United States. It is headquartered near Broomfield, Colorado. There is also a branch in Atlanta. As an organization, BCA is involved in all facets of the sport, and has been instrumental in the promotion of snooker and 3-Cushion billiards.
BCA also serves as a governing body, providing input and oversight on tournament rules and specifications. BCA not only plays an important role in sanctioning tournaments but also provides educational resources as well as leadership opportunities to promote pool and the game.
The BCA has played a large role in the promotion of the game of pool, and has been a prominent organizer of billiard sports in the United States for more than a century. Through education and leadership opportunities, the organization supports the development and growth of the next generation through scholarships and programs. The organization also maintains the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame, which recognizes outstanding players and contributors.
The Official Rules and Records Book (or Official Rules and Records Book) is one of the many activities that the organization has undertaken. This concise rulebook contains the standardized rules utilized by the World Pool-Billiard association (WPA). The organization also offers a rulebook that describes the rules for a number of other games. The U.S. Open14.1 Championships are promoted by the BCA.
The BCA is also involved in the promotion and sanctioning of championship tournaments, and the organization maintains the Billiard Congress of America Hall Of Fame. It's also the governing body for pocket billiards in the United States. Every year, BCA holds a tradeshow that displays a wide variety products including billiards barstools, casual furnishings, and other cues.
The BCA Pool League was also established by the BCA. This league sanctioning body is managed by the BCA. The league has over 450 sanctioned leagues in the United States as well eight other countries. It also hosts the BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships. These championships have 22 divisions. The BCAPL also has a membership of more than 50,000.
BCA also organizes the annual BCA Summit. The summit includes seminars on a variety billiards topics and home recreation topics. There are also social events to encourage peer relationships. Since 1982, it has hosted the BCA Expo. It will unite again with Amusement Expo International, (AEI), during the March 27-30 event in Las Vegas.
The BCA also maintains the Billiard Congress of America Official Rules and Records Book. It contains all rules related to billiards, even nine-ball. You can also find a rulebook for games that aren’t open to international competition.
Although the BCA doesn't focus as much on league play than the Billiards Association of America, (APA), it is one of the biggest supporters of the game. It provides educational resources, leadership opportunities and referral services.
