Joe Perry is a well-known player in snooker. British snooker player. He has had a few seasons at the lower levels of the game. However, he also has a few seasons in the top tiers of the game. He made it to the Top 16 for his first time in 2002. He has been in the Top 20 for three seasons.

Joe Perry has been called both "the Fen Potter," and "the Gentleman." He is a native of the Cambridgeshire area and became a professional in 1992. Since 2003, he has been a full time professional. Ken, his brother, is also a professional.

Perry is a regular presence on the world stage, although he hasn't won a major ranking competition. In 2011, he was among the top eight provisional ranking for the first time. In 2015, he won a minor rank event. This year, he made his fourth appearance at the Masters and was involved in a battle with Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Perry has represented the UK Championship in the finals and the European Open in the semi-finals. He has also qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Championship. He reached the semi finals of the UK Championship in 2004, but was defeated by David Gray. He won the semi-finals of the UK Championship in 2004 against Judd Trump. However, he lost to Stephen Hendry in final.


After starting his snooker playing career at twelve, he rose to the top as a professional in the early 90s. In 2001, he reached the final of the European Open. In spring 2001, he won in Wales the Open. He won the Welsh Open in late spring of that year. In 2014, he took part in Wuxi Classic.

In the same year he beat Matthew Stevens (Marco Fu) and Jamie Cope and reached the semi finals of Masters. He went on to win his second ranking title. He participated in the Xuzhou Open as well as the Welsh Open later that year. He fell to a 14th-place finish at the end.

Despite losing to Graeme Dott and Stephen Hendry, he has managed to secure a place in the top half of the world rankings. He has won the Welsh Open Masters (Welsh Open Masters), and the Xuzhou Open. He also runs courses to help people learn how to play the game.

He has attempted to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan several times in his career. He won 9-5 in the first round at the 2008 UK Championship. He was one frame away from the finals of the Masters in 2017, but he lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan.

In the first round of the 2018 World Championship, he beat defending champion Mark Selby. He also won in 2015 the Xuzhou Open. He has also been a guest commentator at the BBC and has taught many courses.
