Dafabet is once more the title sponsor of World Pool Masters. The online sports betting operator is a partner with a host of high-profile sports brands, including Celtic FC, Norwich City FC, Durham County Cricket Team, and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet is also the title sponsor for the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. Dafabet was previously the title sponsor for the World Pool Masters 2017 and 2019.

Gibraltar will host 2020 World Pool Masters. The tournament will feature 24 of world's top players and a $100,000 prize money. Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on Monday, December 9 to Matchroom Pool Club subscribers and on Tuesday, December 10, to the general public. David Alcaide (last year's champion) will be seeking to defend his title versus a great field of stars.

Dafabet Pool Masters

Dafabet has renewed its title sponsorship agreement for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be played in Gibraltar, 22-25 May 2019. The company was a title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2018. Dafabet also has other sponsorship deals. The company has previously partnered with La Liga football tournament, as well as the Sussex cricket side Durham.

Dafabet World Pool Masters consists of an international nine-ball pool contest. It is the most popular event of its kind, and it has increased the prize money for the winner each year. The prize fund for the event this year was $100,000. David Alcaide (Spaniard) won the tournament. Alcaide defeated Alexander Kazakis, a Greek, by twice the length of the final ball. In the previous year's event, Niels Feijen reached the final by defeating Shane Van Boening. In the first round, David Alcaide was also defeated by the Dutchman.

Joshua Filler

Joshua Filler is a bonen-based German pool player. The 21 year-old Filler has won the China Open, as well the European Pool Championships (10-ball). He is the youngest player to win either one of these competitions. He won the China Open and is also the youngest winner of the European Pool Championships.


Filler began playing the sport when he was seven years old and was already competing at national level. He represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup at age twenty-five. After his Mosconi Cup appearance he won the China Open nine-ball tournament and European Pool Championship (10-ball). In the final, he defeated Italian Carlo Biado to win his first world championship. In addition to winning the World Pool Masters, he also won the Mosconi Cup, the World Cup of Pool, and the US Open Pool Championship.

Lo Ho-sum

Lo Ho-sum was the first Hong Kong pool player who reached the World Pool Masters final. He expressed concern about a recent budget reduction. He is still relatively unknown outside his home country despite his recent success in the sport. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. He beat Shane Van Boening, but lost to Joshua Filler. Lo's heroics saw the pair tie at six.

The World Pool Masters is an annual nine-ball competition that determines the best pool players in the world. It was originally held in Europe, but it has since been expanded to include players from all over the world. Lo has a solid professional record and has maintained a high rank throughout his career.

Sanchez Ruiz

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. He defeated Max Lechner 13-10 in final. He is now at the top in the Live Nineball World Rankings, and he has won $50,000 as the first prize. Sanchez Ruiz became the first Spanish player, becoming the first to win one among pool's oldest majors. Sanchez Ruiz was also awarded the $100,000 milestone, surpassing Shane Van Boening.

Sanchez Ruiz had a lot of difficult moments against Filler. He managed to overcome his initial nerves after making two consecutive racks. After Filler fought back to take a three-point lead, Sanchez Ruiz managed to run out with a two-rack buffer.
