People who enjoy pool will be familiar with the Valley National 8-Ball League Association. This association has over 100, 000 members and hosts a variety of weekly leagues in more than 400 cities. It is also the largest amateur pool league in the world, with players from 36 states and 36 different countries. VNEA is also an entertainment business that generates huge amounts of revenue. Players can compete in the Valley National 8-Ball League Association World Championships in addition to their local league play. These championships take place every year between May 27 and June 5.

The Valley National 8-Ball League Association allows players to compete in leagues based their skill level. Each league has its captain. The captain is responsible for collecting the league fees and keeping score sheets. The captain coordinates and oversees the team's activities while making sure everyone is aware of the rules. The VNEA has honored players for their contributions to the pool league in the past. These include Caela Gibson, who has been active in the league since its inception in 1999. She has won numerous titles at the VNEA World Championships. She has won many tournament titles, including singles, team events, and women's regular 8-ball singles. She is an active promotor of the VNEA Colorado. She has been a top fundraiser in the Gene Pool league the last two years. She also organizes benefit tournaments for street kids and cancer research.

Shane Bloomberg is another pool player who has a long and distinguished history with the VNEA. He is the grandson of Jeanie and Gary Bloomberg. Since he was nine years of age, Shane has been an active member of the VNEA. He went on to be one of the top pool players in the country. He is a regular participant in the Pro Tour and is expected be named Player of Decade in 2020.
