Rules of the Valley National 8 Ball League

People who enjoy pool will be familiar with the Valley National 8-Ball League Association. This association has over 100, 000 members and hosts a variety of weekly leagues in more than 400 cities. It is the world's largest amateur league and plays in 36 US states as well as 36 other countries. VNEA generates a boatload in revenue and is also an amusement-business. Players can compete in the Valley National 8-Ball League Association World Championships in addition to their local league play. These championships take place every year between May 27 and June 5.

As a member of the Valley National 8-Ball League Association, players compete in leagues based on their skill level. Every league has a captain who collects league fees and keeps score sheets. The captain coordinates and oversees the team's activities while making sure everyone is aware of the rules. The captain is responsible for collecting points and helps prepare the team for events.

The VNEA promotes good sportsmanship. Players have been rewarded for their efforts, including being awarded the Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by the VNEA members. The league also promotes business for its sponsoring locations. The operator assistance network provides help to VNEA members who run or operate locations, while the LeagueSMART conference offers software, table control, and increased table revenue. The league also offers a variety league materials, such as score sheets and table markers.


VNEA Pool Leagues offer friendly competition and players will be playing against each other in round-robin format matches. Players must play on 7 by3.5 foot "bar box", coin-operated, pool tables. They are smaller than the regulation 9 by4.5 feet tables. In addition to regular league matches, VNEA leagues often organize regular individual non-team tournaments, which are a great way for local players to test their skills against the best.

In the past, the VNEA honored pool league players for their contributions. Caela Gibson is one of these players. She has been involved in the league's inception since 1999. She has won numerous titles at the VNEA World Championships. She has also won numerous tournament titles, including Singles, Team events, and Women's Regular 8-Ball Singles. She is an active supporter of the VNEA Colorado. She has also been a top fundraiser for the Gene Pool league for the past two years. She has held many benefit tournaments to support cancer research and street children.

Shane Bloomberg is another pool player with an impressive and long history in the VNEA. He is the grandson of Jeanie (Gary) Bloomberg. Shane is an active player in VNEA ever since he was nine. He has become one of most respected pool players worldwide. He is a regular competitor in the Pro Tour. He will likely be named Player-of-the-Decade in 2020.
